380 supervisory visits to sales outlets within 5 days

Acting Director of the Consumer Protection Department at the Dubai Consumer Protection and Fair Trade Corporation, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Ahmed Ahli, Director of the Consumer Protection Department in the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, confirmed that Dubai’s markets are witnessing remarkable stability in prices, while supply chains operate normally without any disturbances affecting the availability of basic goods. Adding that products and goods are available and prices are stable.
He explained during a field tour of the management teams at Al Aweer Fruit and Vegetable Market in Dubai today, that the field tour comes within the efforts of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai to follow up on market conditions and ensure adherence to approved prices, and to ensure the continued availability of basic goods to consumers in various regions of Dubai, indicating the Department’s keenness to ensure that commercial establishments adhere to the applicable laws and regulations, especially with regard to price stability and the promotion of fair competition.
He stated that the oversight teams intensified field visits to sales outlets, and cooperation was also undertaken with strategic partners in the local and federal authorities to ensure proactive oversight of sales outlets.
He pointed out that during the past five days alone, 380 oversight visits were carried out to sales outlets, in order to ensure the stability of prices and the availability of goods and products, in addition to verifying the implementation of fair trade principles, in addition to periodic oversight visits to verify compliance with requirements and standards.
