It also affirms its commitment to supporting the international humanitarian community, as an integrated humanitarian center operating at full capacity, facilitating the delivery of life-saving aid to communities affected by disasters and emergency crises in the region and beyond.
Thanks to being a reliable platform that hosts more than 80 international humanitarian non-profit organizations, UN agencies, and commercial companies, Dubai Humanitarian Center stands ready to mobilize and coordinate essential relief shipments, ensuring that aid reaches the affected populations.
Dubai’s humanitarian operations are based on active cooperation with government agencies and strategic partners in the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. These partnerships contribute to achieving smooth coordination, facilitating logistical operations, and providing organizational support, ensuring the movement of humanitarian shipments quickly, efficiently, and safely.
Over the past two decades, Dubai Humanitarian Center has established itself as the leading and largest humanitarian center of its kind in the world. Figures issued by its Humanitarian Logistics Data Bank show the level of preparedness and ability to respond to crises from natural disasters, the consequences of climate change, conflicts and other complex emergencies.
Dubai’s humanitarian warehouses currently contain approximately $200 million in humanitarian and relief materials, which are already stored by United Nations agencies, international humanitarian organizations and other non-governmental organizations that send aid to more than 100 countries annually. This stock includes medicines and medical supplies, shelter materials, water and sanitation supplies, emergency food, communications equipment, protection and education materials, in addition to logistical assets.
