Jordan condemns the targeting of the UAE Consulate General in Iraqi Kurdistan

Amman, March 10 / WAM / Today, Tuesday, Jordan condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs stressed, in a statement reported by the Jordanian News Agency, Petra, the necessity of respecting international law and the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and Vienna of 1961 for diplomatic relations, in a way that ensures the protection of the headquarters of diplomatic missions and their members.

The Ministry also affirmed Jordan’s solidarity and absolute support with the United Arab Emirates.
