The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council condemns the targeting of the UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan

RIYADH, March 10 / WAM / His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Iraqi Kurdistan.

His Excellency stressed that this attack is a grave violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and safety of diplomats and workers in those missions, stressing the Gulf Cooperation Council’s stance and solidarity with the UAE against this attack, and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that threaten security and stability in the region.
