Saqr Ghobash receives a message of solidarity from the President of the Jordanian Senate
ABU DHABI, 11 March / WAM / His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, received a message from His Excellency Faisal Akef Al Fayez, Speaker of the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in which he expressed Jordan’s solidarity and its standing by the UAE in light of the developments and tensions taking place in the region.
In his message, Al-Fayez affirmed the full solidarity of the Senate and its steadfast support for the UAE and its wise leadership, stressing Jordan’s absolute support for the UAE’s right to preserve its national sovereignty and defend its security and stability.
He stressed that any threats or hostile practices that affect the territorial integrity of the UAE or the security of its people are unacceptable, stressing that the security of the UAE constitutes an integral part of the security and stability of the region and that any attempt to undermine it represents an escalation and a clear violation of the principles of sovereignty and international law.
Al-Fayez appreciated the responsible role played by the UAE leadership in promoting regional stability and calling for dialogue and peaceful solutions, stressing at the same time the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in preventing any aggression or escalation that might threaten international peace and security.
He also stressed that Jordan stands alongside the leadership and people of the UAE in facing challenges, noting that Arab and regional solidarity constitutes the basic foundation for achieving the interests of the countries and peoples of the region.
At the end of his message, Al-Fayez called on God to preserve the UAE, its leadership and its people, and to grant it the blessing of security and stability.
