"Ajman Economic" Event concludes "Future trader"

Ajman, 16 March / WAM / The Department of Economic Development in Ajman concluded the “Merchant of the Future” event, which was held on Saturday and Sunday in Souq Musheirif, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities, coinciding with Emirati Children’s Day, in an initiative aimed at developing children’s economic skills and enhancing their awareness of the basics of trade and entrepreneurship.

The event witnessed distinguished participation from children who had direct practical experience in buying and selling, through designated outlets that allowed them to display their products and interact with the public, which contributed to introducing them to the concepts of trade in a simplified and interactive way, and enhanced many life and practical skills in them.

The event emphasized the importance of empowering the child in the economic process, by giving him the opportunity to go through a realistic experience that contributes to developing his personality, enhancing his self-confidence, and developing his abilities to communicate, assume responsibility, and make decisions, in addition to introducing him to the value of work and production and the importance of planning and organization.

The “Merchant of the Future” initiative also contributed to establishing a culture of self-reliance, creativity and innovation among children, and introducing them to the foundations of self-employment at an early age, in a way that supports the directives of the Department of Economic Development in spreading the culture of entrepreneurship among various segments of society, and building a generation that is aware and qualified for the future.

This initiative comes within the framework of the Ajman Department of Economic Development’s keenness to launch and organize qualitative activities that contribute to qualifying children and developing their practical and life skills, and providing them with an applied educational environment that combines benefit and enjoyment, thus enhancing their future role as partners in the process of economic and social development.
