Humanitarian Initiatives
Volunteers contribute to implementing a package of qualitative field and humanitarian initiatives targeting visitors to the central area and the courtyards of the Holy Mosque. The most prominent of which is the distribution of Iftar meals for fasting people in a scene that embodies the values of social solidarity, giving and giving in the holy month.
It also highlights the efforts of Scouting in providing care services and delivering lost children to their families through direct coordination with the competent authorities, which contributes to bringing reassurance to the souls of families and reflects the deep human side of Scouting work and the high sense of responsibility that its members enjoy towards others and dedication to their service.
Security support
Participants in the camp perform vital field tasks to support the security and service agencies working in the field, including supporting the work of the Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah security and security patrols in the area surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque.
These roles are integrated with the efforts of the General Authority to take care of the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque by contributing to organizing the movement of human crowds, providing spatial guidance and information services for visitors to ensure the smooth flow of movement at entrances and exits, and providing an organized environment that allows… For everyone to perform their worship and prayers in an easy spiritual atmosphere.
Promoting the culture of volunteering
These intensive efforts come to consolidate the values of cooperation and humanity on which the World Scout Movement is based and apply them practically in the purest places by investing the energies of Saudi youth in serving the community and developing their leadership and field skills.
Through these Ramadan camps, the Society aims to highlight the bright image of the nation’s youth and their dedication to serving the guests. Rahman and to provide a role model for organized charitable work that is in line with the Kingdom’s aspirations to increase the number of volunteers and raise the quality of services provided to visitors and pilgrims coming from all over the Islamic world.
