Abu Dhabi, March 30 / WAM / The Judo Federation announced the selection of player Maitha Abdullah Al Neyadi (weight – 57 kilograms) for the current first team camp at Tokai University in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, in preparation for her participation in the Asian Senior Individual Judo Championship, in China from next April 16 to 18, along with players Bashirat Kharudi and Eliza Letaev.

He confirmed in a statement that Al-Neyadi joined the national team upon the recommendation of the technical staff, due to the development of her technical level, and her participation with the national team in competitive matches with Japanese teams and clubs in preparation for the Asian Championship.

His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Dari, President of the Federation, said that the addition of Maitha Al-Neyadi to the national team, along with the two players, Bashirat Kharudi (weight – 52 kilograms), and Eliza Letev (weight – 78 kilograms), is a qualitative addition to the strength of the female elements, especially since she has been playing the game since her childhood with the encouragement of her family, and is in Tokyo to study and develop her competitive capabilities, within the framework of the cooperation agreement with the Japanese Federation, within a strategic program aimed at creating an Olympic champion until she qualifies for the Olympic Games. 2028.
