المملكة: Via video communication… holding the meetings of the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers


Contract of Their Highnesses and Excellencies Arab Interior Ministers, today, Wednesday, the meetings of the forty-third session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, via video communication technology.
The Kingdom’s delegation was headed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Honorary President of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.
His Highness delivered a speech During the meeting he conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them -, expressing their aspiration that the meeting would contribute to enhancing joint Arab cooperation efforts. His Highness also welcomed their Excellencies the ministers who recently joined the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

Confirming the Kingdom’s rejection of the attacks. Iranian

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud indicated that the meeting is being held in light of the current circumstances taking place in the region, from Iranian attacks on a number of Arab countries and countries in the region, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expresses its strong rejection and condemnation of these attacks, which have exposed civilians and vital infrastructure to increasing risks.
He stated that this aggression represents a serious threat to the security and stability of the region, and cannot be justified by any pretext or form, and that Iran’s insistence on destabilizing the security and stability of the region is a violation of international conventions and a threat to peace and security.

The escalation of cybercrime

His Highness explained that today the world is witnessing an escalation in patterns of organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, extremism, terrorism, and cybercrime, in light of a global context characterized by rapid geopolitical and technical transformations, as cross-border organized crime networks develop.
The synthetic drug economy is growing, with the exploitation of digital technologies to spread extremism, money laundering, and human trafficking, especially in fragile or affected environments. With conflicts, cybercrime, digital fraud, and ransom attacks have become among the most widespread and influential threats, with the expansion of the use of artificial intelligence tools.

Facing security challenges

His Highness the Minister of Interior stressed that confronting emerging security challenges requires developing a multi-dimensional work system that includes human, technical, cognitive, and societal capabilities, pointing out that security is no longer separate from the knowledge economy, and that societies that invest in knowledge, research, and innovation are the most capable of building forward-looking and proactive security policies, considering This is the basic foundation for the prosperity of peoples and the stability of countries, explaining that the more societal immunity is strengthened, the deeper Arab partnerships are, and the more cognitive capabilities are developed, the closer to achieving sustainable security that keeps pace with the ambitions of the Arab region in the present and future.

At the conclusion of his speech, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud expressed his thanks to the security agencies in the Arab countries for continuing their efforts in performing their roles and assuming their responsibilities in maintaining security and stability. He also extended his thanks to His Excellency the Secretary-General and the employees of the General Secretariat. The Council thanked the Council for their efforts in preparing for this meeting, asking God Almighty for success, and that the meeting be crowned with success in a way that enhances the process of joint Arab security cooperation.

Their Highnesses and Excellencies delivered their speeches during the meeting, and discussed a number of topics on its agenda. The Kingdom’s delegation participating in the meeting includes His Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Advisor to His Highness the Minister of Interior, His Excellency the Advisor in the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Interior and the Presidency of State Security.
