The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council strongly condemns the riots and attack on the UAE Embassy in Damascus
RIYADH, 4th April, 2018 (WAM) – His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the riots, attacks, and attempted sabotage of property that affected the headquarters of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, and the headquarters of its head of mission in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and the unacceptable insults towards the national symbols of the UAE.
His Excellency stressed the importance of the competent authorities in the Syrian Arab Republic holding accountable those involved in these attacks and abuses of national symbols in the UAE, and strengthening the protection of diplomatic buildings and the headquarters of embassy personnel in accordance with the customs and charters that govern and organize diplomatic work.
