A strong start to the Fujairah 2026 Racing Showdown Championship for physical strength
FUJAIRAH, 4th April, 2020 (WAM) – The competitions of the fifth edition of the Racing Showdown Fujairah 2026 physical strength championship, organized by the Racing Fitness Club in Fujairah, kicked off today, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, and under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Championship Organizing Committee.
The tournament will be held over two days with the participation of 97 male and female players from various categories, amid strong competitions aimed at highlighting talents in the sport of physical strength.
Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Marri, Secretary General of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, confirmed that the Racing Showdown Championship is one of the most prominent tournaments organized annually in the sport of physical strength, because of its great importance in terms of discovering talent and selecting the distinguished elements that can represent the national team during the upcoming participations. He pointed out that the tournament has become an important showcase for the game and contributes to raising the level of competition between male and female players. The most notable results of the first day resulted in Naya Al-Laqqis being crowned first place in the lightweight category, followed by Maryam Hassan in second place, then Rebecca in third place.
In the middleweight category, Merlin van der took first place, Karishma Reddy came second, and Staffy Astrella came third.
In the heavyweight category, Chiara Morante won first place, followed by Morgan Gladden in second place, then Emily Arrietty in third place.
