PSV Eindhoven is champion of the Dutch League for the 27th time in its history

PSV Eindhoven won the Dutch League title, after its closest competitor, Feyenoord, failed to achieve victory at Volendam Stadium.

The match ended in a goalless draw, and PSV Eindhoven was crowned champion, after winning 4-3 over its guest, Utrecht, as it became ahead by an irreparable point margin with 5 matches remaining until the end of the season in the Dutch League.

PSV Eindhoven raised its score to 71 points from 29 matches after Saturday’s match, leaving Feyenoord no choice but to win to maintain its slim hopes, but with its draw in Volendam, it reached 54 points, 17 points behind the leaders.

The fans of the crowned team immediately celebrated in the streets of Eindhoven, and were impatiently awaiting Feyenoord’s failure to achieve victory.

PSV Eindhoven won the league title for the third time in a row and 27 times in history, and is only surpassed in the number of crowns by Ajax Amsterdam, which won 36 titles.
