Abu Dhabi Police arrests reckless drivers and takes legal action against them

The Traffic and Security Patrols Department in Al Ain region arrested a number of vehicle drivers within the strategic priority “smart road security” for driving recklessly and displaying vehicles in a dangerous manner, in uncivilized behaviors that endangered their lives and the lives of road users. They were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.

Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, confirmed that the field teams dealt quickly and efficiently with the reports, and were able to arrest the violators, stressing that reckless behavior is one of the most prominent causes of traffic accidents, and that those who commit them will not be tolerated in order to preserve the safety of society.

He pointed out that these actions represent a clear violation of traffic laws, stressing that the security and safety of society represents a top priority for Abu Dhabi Police.

Colonel Ahmed Abdullah Al Sharifi, Deputy for Traffic and Security Patrols – Al Ain, called on parents to monitor their children’s behavior and educate them about the safe and responsible use of vehicles, stressing the importance of community members cooperating and reporting dangerous behaviors to enhance traffic safety.
