المملكة: The Kingdom condemns the storming of the Kuwaiti consulate in Basra, Iraq

condemned Kuwait is the sister city of Basra, Iraq.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation of the acts of storming and sabotage that targeted the Consulate General of the sister State of Kuwait in the Iraqi city of Basra, and the accompanying blatant attacks on the sanctity of the consular mission.

The Ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s rejection of these irresponsible actions, stressing the responsibility of states to provide full protection to members of consular missions and their headquarters in accordance with Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963.
