Guterres calls on the parties to the conflict in the Middle East to adhere to the terms of the truce

Called Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres Parties to the current conflict in Middle East to comply with its obligations under international law, and to abide by the terms of Ceasefire in order to pave the way towards a permanent and comprehensive peace in the region.
Guterres welcomed the announcement of a two-week ceasefire by the United States and Iran.
United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Volker Türk expressed his hope that the ceasefire announcement would alleviate the suffering of all civilians who have suffered for weeks, and are still exposed to major risks.
He urged all parties to act in good faith and ensure that this first step is translated into a comprehensive agreement.
The Kingdom welcomes By agreement
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the announcement of the President of A ceasefire agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting in this context the fruitful efforts made by his country and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Commander of the Defense Forces and Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army, in reaching this agreement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: "The Kingdom affirms its support for the mediation efforts undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to reach a permanent agreement that achieves security and stability and addresses all issues that have caused the destabilization of security and stability over several decades. At the same time, the Kingdom affirms the necessity of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open to navigation in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982 without any restrictions.".
