The Ministry of Defense confirms that the skies have been free of any air threats during the past hours

The Ministry of Defense announced that on April 9, 2026, the UAE’s air defenses did not detect any ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or drones coming from Iran.

Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have dealt with 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones heading towards the country.

No infections were recorded during the past hours, so the total number of cases remains 224, from multiple nationalities including: Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comoros, and Turkish. Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian.

Also, no cases of martyrdom or deaths were recorded during the past hours, and thus, since the beginning of the blatant Iranian attacks, the total number of martyrs reached two martyrs, in addition to the martyrdom of a civilian of Moroccan nationality contracted with the armed forces, while the total number of deaths reached 10 civilians of the nationalities: Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian, and Egyptian.

The Ministry of Defense affirms that it is fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats, and to firmly confront everything that aims to destabilize the security of the state, in a way that ensures the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protects its national interests and capabilities.
