Iran has contacted us and “very much” wants to reach an agreement

US President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that Iranian leaders “very much” want to reach an agreement with the United States, after the collapse of direct talks between the two countries.
Trump told reporters at the White House, after the collapse of talks in Pakistan aimed at ending the war in the Middle East, “I can assure you that the other side called us. They very much want to make an agreement.” He added: We received a call this morning from the right people regarding Iran.
The US President added that Iran wants to conclude an agreement, and that he will not agree to any agreement that allows Tehran to possess a nuclear weapon.
Trump said: Iran wants to become a nuclear state in order to destroy the world. We will not allow it to possess a nuclear weapon, and we will get its enriched uranium.
The US President added: No country can blackmail the world by closing the Strait of Hormuz. He continued: There are countries that will participate in the American naval blockade of Iran.
