Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi chairs the Executive Council meeting

Sharjah, April 14, 2017 – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired this Tuesday morning, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, the Council meeting, which was held in the office of His Highness the Ruler.
The Council discussed a number of topics concerned with monitoring the performance of government departments and bodies, and legislation and laws that aim to develop the government work system, raise the efficiency of institutional performance, and enhance the quality of services provided.
In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at enabling government agencies to perform their roles more efficiently and enhancing their institutional capabilities in order to achieve advanced levels of excellence and sustainability in government work, the Council approved the general organizational structure of the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences.
This accreditation comes within the framework of the wise leadership’s keenness to develop the government work system in accordance with best practices, keeping pace with rapid developments in the fields of security education and training, and contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres capable of supporting the process of security and stability.
The organizational structure aims to support the Academy’s work and enhance its efficiency in performing its tasks within the specializations assigned to it, through clarity of roles and integration of specializations between the various organizational units.
It also comes within an ongoing approach to developing the organizational structures and foundations of various government departments and bodies, in a way that enhances their flexibility and ability to innovate and respond to future challenges. The Council directed its General Secretariat to complete its legislative session.
The Council reviewed the response of the Real Estate Registration Department regarding the recommendations of the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah regarding discussing the department’s policy. The response appreciated the visions contained in the recommendations that contribute to the development of the real estate sector, especially in the field of digital transformation and modernization of government services.
The department stressed its keenness to accelerate the pace of transformation towards smart systems, through developing digital platforms and modernizing landlord classification mechanisms, in a way that raises performance efficiency and enhances the quality of services provided to customers.
The response indicated that the implementation of these recommendations will contribute directly to improving customer experience and accelerating the completion of transactions, by simplifying procedures and reducing the time spent on providing services, in keeping with modern government best practices, in addition to the department’s special interest in developing specific initiatives targeting the elderly and people with disabilities, in a way that enhances the comprehensiveness of services and ease of access to them, stressing its commitment to putting the recommendations into practice according to thoughtful plans that support sustainability, digital transformation and innovation in government work.
