Abu Dhabi Police employs smart robots to enhance road security at Yas Mall

The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a traffic awareness exhibition for traffic safety within the strategic priority “Smart Road Security”, at the Yas Mall Mall in Abu Dhabi. Through it, it presented its advanced innovative projects in the fields of digital awareness and modern traffic patrols, with the aim of spreading traffic culture and enhancing awareness among all members of society.
Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, confirmed that organizing this exhibition comes within the framework of Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to educate the largest segment of the public about the importance of adhering to traffic safety standards, and the necessity of adhering to traffic regulations and laws, which contributes to reducing traffic accidents and protecting lives and property.
Major Ahmed Abdullah Al Muhairi, Director of the Traffic Robotics Project, explained that workshops were presented to the public about the robotics project and its efforts to raise awareness of the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations, through digital traffic awareness videos, responding to public inquiries, providing traffic advice, educational lectures, and traffic safety instructions on various occasions and events.
The exhibition included a group of awareness activities and guidance materials that shed light on correct traffic behaviour, in addition to providing advice and guidance to drivers and pedestrians on the best practices that enhance road safety.
The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate confirmed its continued efforts in organizing awareness initiatives and events targeting various segments of society, to enhance the level of traffic safety and establish a culture of compliance with the laws, in line with the aspirations of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi towards a safe and sustainable traffic environment.
