Sharjah Chamber cooperates with a company "DHL Express" To enhance the efficiency of foreign trade
Sharjah, April 20 / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding with DHL Express, with the aim of enhancing cooperation to provide advanced logistical solutions that support the business community, which contributes to facilitating the movement of foreign trade and international shipping operations and raising the export and re-export efficiency of the chamber’s member companies, as part of its keenness to develop the business environment in the emirate and enable companies and entrepreneurs to expand the scope of their commercial activities and enhance their competitiveness in regional and global markets.
The memorandum signing ceremony was signed at the Sharjah Chamber’s headquarters by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Chamber, and Mahmoud Haj Hussein, General Manager of DHL Express, in the presence of a number of managers and officials from both sides.
The memorandum aims to make international express shipping services provided by DHL Express available to members of the Chamber and small and medium-sized companies, in a way that enhances their competitiveness and supports their expansion in global markets. The memorandum also includes providing dedicated support to members, in addition to launching joint marketing initiatives that include introductory seminars and digital campaigns, as well as providing advanced technical solutions such as integration with electronic shipping systems, which contributes to facilitating commercial operations and improving the efficiency of supply chains.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi stressed that the signing of the memorandum comes within the strategic objectives of the Sharjah Chamber aimed at supporting the business community by providing world-class services to enhance its competitive capabilities, facilitating the external expansion of local companies, opening horizons for international trade, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship by developing an environment conducive to growth and sustainability in line with Sharjah’s vision of consolidating its position as a competitive economic and commercial center at the regional and global levels, indicating that cooperation represents an important step towards empowering member companies of the Chamber and Especially small and medium-sized businesses can benefit from advanced logistical solutions and more efficient and flexible international shipping services, which enhances their ability to expand into global markets.
He pointed out that DHL Express is considered one of the most important international companies specialized in logistics services, and the cooperation comes within the framework of the Sharjah Chamber’s keenness to support Sharjah’s competitiveness as a leading center for trade and logistics services, and to enhance the emirate’s ability to attract qualitative investments and raise the efficiency of supply chains, thus consolidating Sharjah’s position on the global trade map. He stressed that the Chamber is continuing to build qualitative strategic partnerships with private sector institutions, which contributes to the development of an integrated business environment that supports innovation and opens broader horizons for the business community in the emirate to achieve growth.
