The Ministry of Interior and the Emirates Center for Studies sign an agreement to enhance research and security cooperation

ABU DHABI, April 20 / WAM / The Ministry of Interior signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, to consolidate a strategic partnership and cooperation in the fields of scientific research, security work and planning, based on the directives of the wise leadership, and in support of the integration of efforts and the exchange of experiences between the two sides.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Interior by His Excellency Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, while it was signed on behalf of the Center by His Excellency Dr. Sultan Muhammad Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Centre.
The agreement aims to improve institutional performance and develop the work system, in addition to transferring expertise, knowledge and distinguished practices, ensuring business continuity, and enhancing research efforts and cooperation in scientific fields that serve both parties, in a way that supports the achievement of their strategic goals.
Under the agreement, the two sides agreed to cooperate in organizing and developing conferences, workshops and seminars in the scientific, security and strategic fields, and to work jointly in research, development and innovation, to benefit from available capabilities and to exchange scientific production, in addition to developing joint research projects and exchanging publications, in a way that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of work systems, enriching knowledge content and supporting decision-making.
His Excellency Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi stressed that the signing of the agreement embodies the directives of the wise leadership to consolidate integration between national institutions and enhance joint work, noting that the partnership represents an important step to develop the institutional work system through exchanging experiences and knowledge and benefiting from the advanced research capabilities possessed by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, to raise the efficiency of performance in various police sectors.
He noted that the Ministry of Interior is keen to expand its partnerships with specialized bodies, stressing that cooperation in the fields of research, development and innovation contributes to anticipating future challenges and adopting the best international practices, thus enhancing the ministry’s readiness and the continuity of its work.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Muhammad Al Nuaimi stressed that the agreement embodies institutional integration, and is an extension of the wise leadership’s keenness to unify efforts and exchange experiences, in a way that enhances the efficiency of government work and serves national interests.
His Excellency added that, based on its mission to support decision-makers and provide sound scientific analysis, the Center will harness its intellectual output and cognitive capabilities to enhance this cooperation.
