Fujairah Martial Arts Club signs a contract with world judo champion Makhmadbekov

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club has signed a contract with the national judo team player, Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov, with a professional contract until the end of 2028, within the framework of a long-term preparation program, in a qualitative step that is the first at the club level, within a strategic direction to enhance the path of sports professionalism and support the Olympic aspirations of the Emirates.

The player tops the world rankings for the weight category of 73 kg, which gives the contract great technical value and enhances the club’s ambitions to compete at the highest levels.

Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Nader Abu Shawish, confirmed that this step represents a strategic shift in the club’s business model, pointing out that the actual entry into professionalism is an essential pillar in developing sports performance and achieving sustainability in achievements.

He revealed that the player will join the club’s “Elite Program,” which includes the best athletes with high potential, and who are prepared according to advanced programs aimed at reaching the highest international levels, most notably the Olympic Games.

He added that the club works according to a clear strategy based on discovering and nurturing talent, and providing an integrated professional environment, in line with the country’s trends in investing in sports as a strategic sector.

He appreciated the great role of the UAE Judo Federation, stressing that the federation is a key partner in achieving these achievements, through its advanced technical plans and development programs that contribute to preparing players according to the highest international standards.

He pointed out that this step represents the beginning of a new phase in the club’s journey, aiming to establish a culture of sports professionalism, strengthen Fujairah’s position as a regional center for creating champions, support the Olympic qualification path and achieve honorable achievements for the country.
