A strategic partnership between Zayed National Museum and Mubadala Investment
Abu Dhabi, April 22 / WAM / Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the UAE, announced its first strategic partnership with Mubadala Investment.
The partnership stipulates Mubadala Investment’s commitment, with the Community Contributions Authority – Together, the strategic partner in advancing social priority initiatives, to provide support over a period of five years to more than twenty initiatives and programs focusing on community participation, education, and programs such as the Associate Collection Specialist Diploma, and Emiratisation efforts, while the Zayed National Museum will work to expand educational opportunities through dedicated training paths for high school and university students, in addition to contributing to community initiatives aimed at enhancing public interaction.
The partnership reflects a joint commitment between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Mubadala Investment, to enrich the growing cultural scene in Abu Dhabi, in an effort to achieve a sustainable social impact and support long-term cultural growth. It also enhances the role of cooperation between the public and private sectors in enabling cultural institutions to provide programs that contribute to serving communities in various parts of the country.
The partnership falls within the framework of a broader agreement between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Mubadala, which aims to enrich the cultural scene in the emirate. This agreement was announced during the year 2023, whereby Mubadala will contribute a total amount of 50 million dirhams to support the cultural sector in the emirate over a period of five years. A large portion of this support has already been allocated to the programs of the cultural sector in the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, such as the House of Craftsmen, in addition to prominent cultural institutions, including the Louvre Museum. Abu Dhabi.
His Excellency Saud Abdul Aziz Al Hosani, Undersecretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said that the strategic partnership with Mubadala Investment embodies the firm commitment to enriching the vibrant cultural scene in the UAE, pointing out that by integrating Mubadala Investment’s support into the education and community engagement initiatives of the Zayed National Museum, the Department ensures that the National Museum remains a dynamic platform for learning, identity and communication for future generations and a leading national educational and cultural destination.
For his part, Humaid Al Shammari, Group Executive Vice President at Mubadala Investment, said that Mubadala Investment attaches great importance to partnerships that contribute to enhancing the progress of the country and invests in developing its human resources. This cooperation reflects its commitment to investing in education, culture and community development, ensuring the provision of broader learning opportunities for young people in various parts of the country, in line with the ambitious approach of wise leadership.
He added that with the inauguration of the Zayed National Museum, Mubadala Investment renews its commitment to supporting the efforts and mission of this prestigious cultural edifice, and contributing to strengthening the cultural fabric of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for years to come.
Zayed National Museum is committed to promoting cultural knowledge and preserving the nation’s heritage for future generations.
