Shabab Al-Ahly and Al-Nasr won in the first leg of the Emirates Basketball Cup semi-final
Dubai, April 22 / WAM / The Shabab Al-Ahly and Al-Nasr teams decided the results of the first leg of the semi-final matches of the Emirates Men’s Basketball Cup, which were held today against Al-Sharjah and Al-Bataeh.
Shabab Al-Ahly succeeded in defeating its host, Sharjah, with a score of 92-84, to put one foot forward in the final, while Al-Nasr achieved a major victory over its host, Al-Bataeh, with a score of 95-74, enhancing its chances of qualifying.
The return matches will be held next Sunday, with Shabab Al-Ahly hosting its counterpart, Al-Sharjah, while Al-Bataeh will visit Al-Nasr, with the winners of the two matches qualifying on aggregate to the final scheduled for next May 2.
Qualification is decided according to the home-and-away system by calculating the total points in the two matches, and in the event of a tie, additional time is used to determine the qualifier.
