المملكة: “Saud Medical” succeeds in saving a patient from a rare neck injury
The medical team succeeded in King Saud Medical City, member Riyadh First Health Complex, in saving the life of a patient who suffered a rare and very serious injury, which was a complete dislocation of the head and neck (Atlanto-occipital dislocation), which is one of the most serious injuries that directly threatens life.
This case is classified as a critical medical case globally, as the death rate before reaching the hospital reaches between 70% and 90%, as a result of its direct impact on the vital centers in the body.
A complex operation

- Re-aligning the head and neck.
- Fixing the craniocervical junction using advanced surgical techniques.
