Under the directives of Ammar bin Humaid, Ajman launches a comprehensive facilities package to support the tourism sector

Ajman, April 23 / WAM / Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media in Ajman announced the launch of a package of facilities aimed at supporting tourism activities, attracting investments, and enhancing the competitiveness of the tourism sector in the emirate.
These facilities fall within the vision of His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman, which aims to develop the tourism business environment and enhance the sector’s sustainability and flexibility in the face of various challenges, as it includes a set of exemptions and specific facilities that cover various aspects of operation, licensing and marketing, which contributes to supporting tourism establishments in the emirate, raising their operational efficiency, and enhancing their competitiveness.
The package includes a number of measures and benefits, including postponing the payment of the tourism fee for all tourist establishments for a period of six months, starting from March 1, 2026, and exemption from late fines when renewing licenses during the same period, in addition to applying an exemption to event permit fees and license renewal fees.
The facilities package also includes activating the “flexible payment” mechanism to pay dues in interest-free installments, in addition to exempting museum visitors from entry fees until the end of 2026, and exempting tourist establishments from participation fees in exhibitions and promotional workshops in which the department participates.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Information, confirmed that the facilities package aims to have a direct impact in stimulating the tourism movement in the Emirate of Ajman, by supporting the work of tourist facilities and enhancing the quality of services provided to visitors, which contributes to raising occupancy rates, prolonging the duration of tourists’ stay, and increasing tourism spending.
He added: “These measures enhance the emirate’s attractiveness as a promising investment destination, as the financial and regulatory facilities and exemptions provided by the emirate play an important role in reducing operating costs and improving the business environment, which stimulates the pumping of new qualitative investments in tourism, cultural and entertainment projects, and contributes to achieving sustainable growth that is reflected in the various economic sectors in Ajman.”
For his part, His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Information in Ajman, said that these facilities stem from the department’s vision that the tourism sector represents a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive development process of the Emirate of Ajman, explaining that supporting and empowering tourism facilities is a direct investment in the future of the emirate and its economy.
He added: “We are committed to working side by side with our partners in the private sector, to consolidate Ajman’s position as a distinguished tourist destination that attracts visitors from all over the world.”
Al Hashemi pointed out that these measures represent an integrated strategic package aimed at stimulating investment and revitalizing tourism in the emirate, thus enhancing Ajman’s position as an attractive business environment.
In the context of supporting the cultural and tourism sector, exempting museum visitors from entry fees until the end of 2026 contributes to enhancing cultural attractiveness, while exempting tourist establishments from participation fees in exhibitions and promotional workshops allows for enhancing marketing opportunities and reaching new markets.
The Department of Tourism, Culture and Media in Ajman affirmed its commitment to launching qualitative initiatives that enhance the flexibility of the tourism sector and support its sustainable growth, in line with the emirate’s vision of consolidating its position as a leading tourism and investment destination at the regional and global levels, and contributing to achieving balanced and comprehensive economic development during the next stage.
