30 colorful Arab and continental medals collected by the Cycling Federation during the season

Dubai, April 24 / WAM / The Emirates Cycling Federation announced that it has won more than 30 colorful medals in various foreign championships, Gulf, Arab, and continental, over the course of the 2025 season until now.

The most notable achievements included obtaining 18 colorful medals in the Arab Road Cycling Championship, which was held in Iraq, while the last external achievement was obtaining two silver medals in the 2026 Asian Road Cycling Championship, which was held last February in Saudi Arabia.

The national team players participated in the World Youth Track Championships in the Netherlands, the World Road Championships in Rwanda, and the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

Omar Al Naqbi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Cycling Federation, confirmed that during the past period the Federation organized more than 75 local championships for all age groups and stages, in a step aimed at expanding the base of practitioners of this sport from all members of society, and supporting the national team at all levels in preparation for future participations, pointing out that the Federation aspires to increase the number of these championships during the coming seasons.

He pointed out that the federation has developed a strategic plan aimed at focusing on emerging players and supporting promising talents, so that they will be the nucleus of the national team in all its categories and stages.

He explained that there is a noticeable development in the technical levels of the athletes, through an increase in the level of physical fitness, and the speed reaching 50 km per hour, which is a distinctive thing that calls for more optimism in the players’ ability to achieve the best achievements.
