DUBAI, 25 APRIL / WAM / Coinciding with the Year of the Family 2026, the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, directed a package of specific initiatives to enhance societal stability and empower families in Dubai, as part of the second phase of the “Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Program”, which is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the establishment and growth of families in Dubai. Consolidating societal values, enhancing the quality of life of families, in addition to providing a stimulating social environment for them, and achieving a balance between professional and family life.

Her Highness directed the start of allocating housing for the “Wadi Al Amradi” and “Al Awir” projects, at a value of 1.6 billion dirhams, and with a donation worth 83 million dirhams to furnish the homes of the beneficiaries of the residential units, according to a modern mechanism that ensures efficiency and transparency in the allocation processes. Her Highness also directed the establishment of two halls worth 63 million dirhams, the first for the weddings of citizens in the Al Awir area, the first with a value of 40 million dirhams, and the second for events, which is the first event hall in The outdoor project is dedicated to citizens in Mushrif National Park with flexible designs that suit different seasons of the year, at a value of 23 million dirhams.

This batch of housing allocated in the Wadi Al Amradi and Al Awir projects, with a total of 830 housing units, is considered the largest batch of ready housing granted to citizens since the establishment of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, which reflects the qualitative expansion in implementing the directives of the wise leadership aimed at enhancing family stability and quality of life for citizens of the Emirate of Dubai.

These initiatives embody a practical translation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” in building a unique development model, based on integrated projects that have a direct impact on enhancing societal stability and empowering citizen families through a comprehensive work system that balances quality housing projects, quality infrastructure, and the effectiveness and sustainability of social care, thus consolidating Dubai’s position as the best city for quality of life.

Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum confirmed that the “Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Program” continues to consolidate the authentic values ​​of the Emirati family and enhance its stability, embodying the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to place the family at the top of national priorities, as it is the basic pillar of a cohesive and sustainable society.

Her Highness added that the allocation of housing for the “Wadi Al Amradi” and “Al Awir” projects, at a value of 1.6 billion dirhams, enhances community cohesion and provides an integrated system that supports residential stability and empowerment of the Emirati family, which contributes to preparing generations that are confident and committed to their identity and capable of contributing to the development process and preserving national gains.

The Al Awir project includes 398 residential units with modern standards within the grant category, with a total budget of more than 734 million dirhams. The design of the project took into account harmony with the local character of the region, and commitment to the highest standards of sustainability and community integration, while ensuring flexibility for future expansion to meet the needs of families.

The project includes advanced infrastructure, modern road networks, and community and service facilities, such as public parks and councils. Each residential unit features spacious areas that include four bedrooms, a living room, a lounge, a modern kitchen, and service facilities, which enhances the level of comfort and stability for the family.

The Wadi Al Amradi project includes 432 residential units within the grant category, with an approved budget of more than 767 million dirhams. The units were designed to suit the needs of Emirati families by providing flexible architectural models that take into account privacy and support future expansion.

Each residential unit in the Wadi Al-Amradi project consists of four bedrooms, a living room, a hall, a kitchen, and service facilities. Outdoor spaces have also been allocated within each plot of land, allowing for future expansion or the creation of service annexes according to the needs of the residents, within the framework of an integrated design that supports sustainability and takes into account the highest standards of quality of life.

The initiatives of the second phase of the “Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Program” include: establishing a new wedding hall for citizens in the Al Awir First area, at a value of 40 million dirhams, in partnership with the private sector, in support of Dubai’s family-friendly strategy. The hall can accommodate about 500 people and serves more than 60,000 citizens in the region, with the aim of supporting those about to get married, and providing a facilitating environment for holding weddings, which contributes to reducing the costs of marriage and enhancing family stability.

The initiatives also include the establishment of the first outdoor event hall designated for citizens in Mushrif National Park, with flexible designs to suit different seasons of the year, at a value of 23 million dirhams, providing various options for holding family events in a natural environment, within the model of community partnership with the private sector, which enhances integration between government agencies and community institutions in supporting family initiatives and ensuring their sustainability.

The “Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme” is in line with the strategic vision of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to make the Emirati family in Dubai the happiest, most interconnected, tolerant, and committed to national values ​​and identity. It also achieves the goal of encouraging the increase of Emirati families in Dubai to double by 2033.

The launch of the initiatives of the second phase of the “Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Program” comes as an extension of the success of the first phase, which contributed to the establishment of more than 1,100 Emirati families in Dubai, and the organization of 1,149 weddings since the launch of the program.

The “Dubai Weddings” program, which is characterized by covering the costs of the main wedding party and providing free wedding halls and neighborhood councils, also recorded a remarkable growth in its indicators, as the number of weddings completed through the program increased by 44% in 2025 compared to 2024, and the participation rate in the program increased by 43.5% during the past year compared to the previous year, in addition to an increase in the number of marriage contracts by 13.9%.

The program achieved a positive impact on the quality of life, as the happiness rate of the beneficiaries reached 97%, while the number of newborns reached 136.

More than 2,100 people benefited from the awareness and rehabilitation programs provided by the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Program, which included the “Start It Right” program, which provides awareness services about marital rights and building the foundations of understanding between spouses, and the “Family Financial Culture” program, which promotes the concepts of sound financial planning and efficient management of family resources, in addition to the “How to Build Your Home?” program. Which aims to educate couples about the steps of building a home in a conscious and flexible manner.
