The Head of State receives a written message from the President of Angola, delivered by Abdullah bin Zayed

Abu Dhabi, April 27 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a written message from His Excellency João Manuel Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, relating to bilateral relations between the two countries.
The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, when he received His Excellency Tite Antonio, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Republic of Angola.
During the meeting, the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks that targeted the UAE and a number of sister countries were discussed, and their repercussions on the security of international navigation, energy supplies, the global economy, and regional and international peace and security.
The two sides reviewed all regional developments related to the announcement by His Excellency US President Donald Trump of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and discussed ways to achieve sustainable stability, peace and security in the region.
They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in all fields, especially economic and trade, within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the growing and developed relations between the UAE and the Republic of Angola, noting that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement opened promising horizons for enhancing economic cooperation in various fields, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and supports their efforts in achieving sustainable development for their peoples.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
