Realize The National Center of Meteorology achieved a qualitative achievement represented by recording a match rate exceeding 98% between its forecasts and the real-time readings in Holy Feelings, which reflects the advanced technical capabilities and high efficiency of the national human cadres who monitored and followed up on Weatherand weather phenomena around the clock with the highest possible coverage.
The wide and deliberate spread of automatic stations contributed to achieving this success. It provided 100% geographical coverage of the atmosphere through 21 stations that were installed and distributed in the field based on precise meteorological criteria in selecting the most effective locations, in addition to the inhabited stations in Mina and Arafat, and weather radars and satellites, which played a prominent role in standard monitoring, accurately monitoring weather phenomena, and documenting climate data for the emotions.
Artificial Intelligence Techniques
The artificial intelligence techniques used in numerical models also had An important role in raising the efficiency and increasing the accuracy of future forecasts of weather phenomena and weather conditions, which helped in providing accurate proactive information that contributed to supporting the decision-making of the operational and service agencies involved in Hajj work and ensuring the safety of the guests of God.
The outcome of the center’s field, scientific and media work for this year was represented by the operation of 21 extended meteorological stations in the Holy Sites, which achieved a match rate of forecasts with actual readings exceeding 98%.
The outputs also included the issuance of 1,915 detailed weather forecasts throughout the season, and 11 weather warnings were issued over the holy sites to proactively deal with the weather situation, in addition to broadcasting and publishing 300 information and awareness materials to serve pilgrims and participating parties, and preparing and completing 4 specialized climate studies and research.
