The Supreme Scientific Council of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Human Sciences reviews developments in academic programs and research initiatives

ABU DHABI, 28 APRIL/WAM/ The Supreme Scientific Council of Mohammed bin Zayed University for Human Sciences reviewed its eleventh meeting, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, Chairman of the University’s Supreme Scientific Council and Chairman of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, on the latest developments in the specialized academic and training programs implemented by the university, and the agenda of international conferences, most notably the International Conference for Religious Studies to be implemented at the end of this year, in addition to research initiatives, local and international partnerships, and the latest scientific publications and productions.

The meeting, which was held at the university’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, was attended by His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, University President.

During the opening of the council’s work, His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah stressed that the council meeting is being held in the context of the developments witnessed in the region, noting that these events once again demonstrated the solidity of the state’s institutions, the wisdom of its leadership, and the cohesion of its society.

He explained that the UAE, with the support of its wise leadership, has demonstrated a solid ability to deal with various circumstances efficiently and competently, ensuring the regularity of life, study and work with confidence and reassurance.

He added that the crisis revealed the success of national policies in building an integrated system based on a deterrent defense force, a vigilant security system, effective diplomacy, and a solid economy, which reflects the state’s leadership in achieving integration between its various sectors, and its ability to remain steadfast in the face of challenges and continue the process of construction and achievement.

His Excellency stressed the Council’s aspirations for the university to continue developing its outputs at multiple levels, most importantly its educational outputs, by preparing distinguished students who combine solid knowledge, high morals, national awareness, and the ability to contribute effectively to the disciplines of Islamic and human sciences. To be an added value in the institutions they join, role models in education and work, and role models in behavior and giving.

The Council listened to the members’ interventions, which included proposals and ideas about the issues on the agenda, which were discussed and the necessary recommendations were made regarding them.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on continuing to implement the university’s strategic vision, developing academic programs, enhancing the quality of scientific research, and expanding the scope of partnerships, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of educational outcomes, enhances the university’s scientific and societal presence, and consolidates its position as a global platform for spreading the values ​​of moderation and building bridges of knowledge between cultures.
