المملكة: The city of pilgrims in Al-Shaqiq begins receiving the guests of God


The city of pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims in Al-Shaqiq in Al-Jawf region began receiving Hajj, under the supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Al-Jawf Region and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee in the region.

With an area exceeding 113 thousand square meters, the Pilgrims City represents a main station for the guests of God with a set of services that ensure the facilitation and comfort of the pilgrims’ journey through 13 accommodation rooms, 3 reception halls, a command and control room, an enrichment exhibition that introduces pilgrims to their rituals, and more. 100 health facilities and a central kitchen with a capacity of up to 5,000 meals per hour, and seven vehicles transporting within the city.

Receiving pilgrims

The Association for Pilgrims and Umrah Services in Al-Jawf operates and manages the site under the supervision of the Emirate of Al-Jawf Region, in integration with a number of partner government agencies, including the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Municipality of Al-Jawf Region represented by the Municipality of Dumat Al-Jandal Governorate, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, and the Health Cluster in Al-Jawf, And the security sectors, and Islamic affairs in Al-Jawf.

Government services are provided by various partnerships, including the Princess Seetah Endowment with electricity services, humanization of the city, and meals, the Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Endowments, the Al-Safwa Foundation, the Ikram Association, the Rahmaa Association, and the Sadana Association, and community contributions from the Central Qassim Company, Al-Qarsh Company, Dhaif Allah Al-Otaibi Company, Qasawar Company, and the Nusk Humanitarian Foundation.

The city receives pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims. Coming from Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Palestine.
