"Integrated transportation" Conducting field trials for a self-propelled marine patrol boat in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 1st May / WAM / The Integrated Transport Center “Abu Dhabi Transport”, affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, announced the implementation of field operating trials for a 23-foot self-propelled marine patrol boat, under the supervision of the Intelligent Self-Mobility Systems Council, and in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Blue Gulf Group.

These experiments aim to operate an advanced marine vessel that relies on autonomous technologies, to support control and monitoring operations in waterways in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Maritime, in a way that enhances the level of compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and improves the public safety system in the maritime sector.

This step falls within the maritime sector’s direction towards employing smart technologies and innovative solutions in developing the maritime work system, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of regulatory operations, raising the accuracy of monitoring, and achieving operational sustainability in waterways, in addition to supporting efforts to develop the self-propelled maritime transport system in the emirate.

These experiences also embody the Integrated Transport Center’s commitment to adopting the latest technologies and developing an advanced control system that supports public safety and enhances the efficiency of operational operations.
