"Education" The Parents Council was launched at the ministry level in its first session

ABU DHABI, 1st May / WAM / The Ministry of Education announced the formation and launch of the Parents’ Council at the ministry level in its first session, in a step that reflects its established approach in strengthening the effective and influential partnership with parents, as they are essential partners in developing the educational system and improving its outcomes, and in a way that contributes to supporting the modernization and development process witnessed by the national education system.

The launch of the Council comes in line with the vision of the UAE and its national goals, and a translation of the Ministry’s keenness to consolidate the role of the family in the educational process, within the framework of relevant national and community initiatives, most notably the Year of the Family, which embodies the values ​​of family cohesion and societal responsibility, and enhances integration between the various components of society in supporting education.

The Parents Council includes 17 members from various emirates of the country, including influential community figures, as the Council reflects societal diversity that enhances inclusive representation.

The Council undertakes the tasks of submitting recommendations and proposals to the Ministry of Education, and coordinating with parents’ councils at the sector and school levels, thus consolidating its role as an effective link between parents and educational leaders in the Ministry.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that the launch of the Council comes from its belief that education and its development is a shared responsibility that requires the integration of roles between the decision-maker, the family, and society, noting that the involvement of parents within an organized institutional framework contributes to building a supportive and stimulating educational environment, capable of achieving sustainable educational results that meet the aspirations of the UAE and keep pace with the requirements of the future.

The Council aims to frame cooperation with parents within a clear and sustainable organizational structure that ensures the continuity of the partnership, enhances the effectiveness of joint initiatives, and contributes to deepening their pedagogical and educational impact, which reflects positively on students, schools, and the educational system as a whole.

The Ministry explained that the Council constitutes an effective platform for enhancing communication and constructive dialogue with parents, and investing in their role as a basic link with society, which contributes to creating a positive educational movement that enjoys broad community support, enhances mutual trust between the school, family and society, and embodies an advanced model of community partnership in supporting education.
