Forest fires sweep the Netherlands and Italy

Firefighters continue to fight Forest fires broke out in the Netherlands during the past few days, while France and Germany sent teams to assist them in their mission.
Efforts are continuing to extinguish a fire that broke out, on Wednesday, in an artillery firing range belonging to the Dutch army in the eastern town of Harde.

In other provinces, several fires broke out on Thursday, also in military training fields, and destroyed about 65 hectares near South Oorschot, and 70 hectares near Wiert, located in the southeast of the Netherlands, according to what was reported by the Dutch Broadcasting Corporation (NOS).
On the other hand, the Italian authorities announced the evacuation of about 3,500 people from the Tuscany region, as part of their efforts to combat a massive fire that has been raging for more than 24 hours in this tourist area.
The fire destroyed more than 800 hectares in the mountains located between the cities of Lucca and Pisa, and said. The municipality of San Giuliano Terme said in a statement that the fire “affected 3,500 people,” adding that “the winds pushed the flames down the slope” toward the village of Asciano.
