المملكة: Diriyah Hospital replaces a patient’s knee joint using robotic technology
Diriyah Hospital, a member of the third Riyadh Health Cluster, succeeded in conducting A delicate operation to replace the knee joint using robotic technology for a 46-year-old patient, who was suffering from severe pain and significant limitations in movement as a result of advanced osteoarthritis of the left knee joint.
Successful surgery under the supervision of specialists
led by Medical Team Visiting physician Dr. Fawzi Al-Jasser, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, with the participation of Dr. Sami Bin Dagher, an orthopedic specialist at Diriyah Hospital, where the damaged joint was replaced with high precision using robotic technology, which contributed to significantly improving the alignment of the joint, restoring its movement, and significantly reducing pain after the operation, within the services of the Center of Excellence for Artificial Joint Surgery using robotic technology.
The operation – thanks to God – was crowned with success, as the patient showed a noticeable improvement in her health condition, with movement beginning to be gradually restored according to the approved treatment and rehabilitation plan.
