Educational Regions

At the educational region level, (96) male and female students qualified from the General Administration of Education in the Riyadh Region, (96) from Jeddah, (96) from Al Sharqiyah, (64) from Medina, (48) from Asir, (48) from Al Ahsa, (48) from Mecca, and (48) From Qassim, (48) from Taif, (48) from Jazan, (32) from Najran, (32) from Hail, (32) from Tabuk, (32) from Al-Jawf, (32) from Al-Baha, (32) from the northern border, in addition to (16) from the Royal Commission in Jubail, and (16) from the Royal Commission in Yanbu.

And The first and largest annual national competition specialized in the fields of science and mathematics, targeting students in the first intermediate grade until the first grade of secondary school, and passing through gradual stages starting from school, then at the level of cities and governorates, all the way to the national teams competition for education departments and the finals of the Olympics in Riyadh. With the aim of discovering talented people, empowering them, and preparing them to compete in international scientific Olympiads.

The Kingdom participates annually, represented by the Foundation "talent"in about (30) international and regional Olympiads held in different countries around the world, with the participation of more than (120) countries represented by thousands of students, within the Mawhiba International Olympiads programme, which provides an integrated training path concerned with building the capabilities of students at various levels, which contributes to their scientific and methodological preparation in an advanced manner.

Discovering gifted students

The goal of the Olympiad "We rise" To expand the circle of discovering gifted students in public education, localize training in Olympic sciences in education departments, and increase the number of beneficiaries of specific programs, in addition to developing scientific inclinations, developing the performance of teachers, and enriching the curricula with issues that develop higher-order thinking skills; This enhances students’ readiness to compete globally.

It was the National Science and Mathematics Olympiad "We rise" In its first edition, the participation of (99,179) male and female students, representing (8,356) schools in (47) cities and governorates, distributed among (16) educational regions, and under the supervision of about (800) male and female teachers, was recorded in a scene that reflects the breadth of the participation base and the presence of scientific ambition among students.
