المملكة: Launching the Hajj Voluntary Health Program with the participation of 30 local and international universities


Launches Charitable Society for Primary Health Care, with the participation of government agencies, the eighteenth edition of the voluntary health program for the Holy Feelings.

The program is organized by the Charitable Society for Primary Health Care “Dirham of Prevention”, in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health, the Health Cluster in Mecca represented by King Abdullah Medical City, and Umm Al-Qura University.

Quality Standards

This health event is under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Health, in addition to the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development to ensure the highest standards. Quality.

This year’s season witnesses widespread participation from male and female volunteers, representing more than thirty local and international universities from various health colleges to cover the need.

The Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, Dr. Jasser Al-Shehri, revealed the launch of a package of effective field and preventive health initiatives to raise the level of medical readiness.

Health Clinics

Al-Shehri explained that the most prominent of these initiatives is the operation of four health clinics on the pedestrian road. Between Arafat and Muzdalifah for the second year in a row, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.

He stressed that the operational plan includes activating mobile clinics to provide initial examination, and immediately deal with heat stress, fatigue cases, foot problems, and chronic diseases.

Explaining the association’s mission, Dr. Jasser added: “Through our programs, we are working to establish the concept of prevention before treatment through health awareness and care for patients with chronic diseases.”

Model Volunteer

The Chairman of the Board of Directors stated that this volunteer field model was specifically designed to be compatible with the nature of the Hajj season, and monitors the most common risks and injuries such as sunstroke.

He indicated full readiness to enable health volunteers to perform their professional role within an organized environment that reflects the bright image of humanitarian and volunteer work in the Kingdom.

Documented participation

He pointed out that volunteer hours are for all participating cadres. Officially documented and approved through the National Volunteer Work Platform, as well as through the Health Volunteering Platform.

The program aims to achieve qualitative integration between sectors, to innovate creative solutions in medicine and crowd management to reduce critical cases through education and provision of primary care.

The continuation of this launch comes as a culmination of the success of the program and its recent winning of first place in the Excellence Award in Serving the Guests of God during the 2025 Hajj Conference and Exhibition.
