المملكة: Global food prices rose for the third month in a row


You mentioned The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) announced today that global food prices rose in April for the third month in a row, with the prices of vegetable oils rising in particular.

The average FAO food price index, which measures changes in a basket of globally traded food commodities, reached 130.7 points in April, up 1.6% from its revised level in March.

In a separate report, the FAO raised its estimates for global cereal production. For the year 2025, it rose slightly to a record high of 3.040 billion tons, an increase of 6% from the levels recorded a year ago.
