The 2027 Asian Cup draw places our national team in Group E with South Korea, Vietnam and"Lebanon or Yemen"
RIYADH, 9th May / WAM / The draw for the 2027 Asian Football Cup placed our national team in Group Five alongside the teams of South Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon or Yemen, where the identity of the qualifying team will be determined next June, as part of the draw ceremony conducted by the Asian Football Confederation today in the city of Diriyah for the tournament scheduled to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from January 7 to February 5, 2027 with the participation of 24 teams.
The results of the draw resulted in the distribution of the rest of the participating teams to the other groups, where the first group included the teams of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Palestine, while the second group included the teams of Uzbekistan, Bahrain, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Jordan.
The third group included the teams of Iran, Syria, Kyrgyzstan and China, while the fourth group included the teams of Australia, Tajikistan, Iraq and Singapore, while the teams of Japan, Qatar, Thailand and Indonesia were in the sixth group.
