Headed by Ammar bin Humaid.. The Executive Council launches the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program and enhances the government’s readiness for the future

Ajman, May 13, 2017 – His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, chaired the May 2026 Executive Council session, which witnessed the launch of the “Ajman Artificial Intelligence Programme”, in a step that reflects the Ajman government’s direction towards adopting the tools of the future and accelerating smart government transformation, in line with the national trends of the UAE and the Ajman Vision 2030 “Ajman for the People”.

His Highness stressed that the Ajman government is embarking on its path towards artificial intelligence from a vision that puts people first, and deals with technology as a tool to enhance the quality of life, raise the efficiency of government decisions, accelerate services, and build a more flexible and future-ready government.

His Highness said during the launch of the program: In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and in line with the national trend of the UAE in adopting artificial intelligence, the Ajman government is launching today its artificial intelligence program, which serves the government and society together.

His Highness added: People will remain first, and artificial intelligence is a tool for developing decisions, improving services, and raising the quality of life, within a governance that preserves trust, responsibility, and data, and enhances the UAE’s leadership in building the government of the future.

His Highness announced that the leadership of the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Program will be assigned to Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, to supervise the program and monitor its impact on community service, stressing that the Ajman government aims to launch 100 artificial intelligence initiatives covering the eight axes of the Ajman 2030 Vision, which will contribute to developing government services, raising performance efficiency, and enhancing the quality of life in the emirate.

In his opening speech, His Highness stressed that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” has demonstrated exceptional resilience in the face of various challenges and changes, and has established a global model in readiness, speed of response, and sustainability of government work, praising the societal cohesion and spirit of responsibility demonstrated by citizens and residents of the country that reflects the strength and interconnectedness of the national fabric.

In this context, the Executive Council discussed a number of files related to enhancing government readiness and business sustainability, most notably the emergency and crisis management system in the Ajman government. The Council directed the adoption of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority’s framework (NCEMA 7000:2021) as a main reference for the business continuity system in the Ajman government, in a way that enhances the readiness of government agencies, raises the efficiency of coordination and response, and ensures the sustainability of services in various circumstances.

The Council also reviewed the results of the first phase of studies on the “subsequent impact of executive decisions”, which aim to measure the actual impact of government decisions on society, services and quality of life, in addition to discussing a number of regulatory and development initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of government procedures and developing the system of services and transactions in the emirate.
