"Successor of humanity" Organizing the fourth mass wedding at Shakhbout City Council in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 14th May / WAM / The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation organized the fourth mass wedding at Shakhbout City Council in Abu Dhabi, as part of its community programs aimed at supporting young citizens and reducing the financial burdens resulting from marriage, in a way that contributes to enhancing family stability and consolidating authentic social values in Emirati society, with the sponsorship of Dubai Islamic Bank.
This initiative comes in line with the state’s directives to support the stability of the Emirati family and enhance societal cohesion, and in response to the directives of the wise leadership to provide the necessities of a decent life for citizens and reduce the burdens on young people about to get married. It also gains special importance in conjunction with the “Year of the Family,” which reflects the keenness to consolidate the status of the family.
The wedding witnessed the participation of 612 young citizens, as part of the Foundation’s keenness to support those about to get married and enable them to start their family lives with stability and confidence, while the Foundation was keen to provide an integrated package of support to the participants, which contributed to reducing the burdens and costs associated with marriage.
The Foundation affirmed its keenness to continue implementing community initiatives that contribute to supporting young citizens and enhancing family stability, based on the state’s vision of consolidating the values of social solidarity and improving the quality of life of citizens. Mass weddings represent one of the community initiatives with a positive, sustainable impact, because of the direct support they provide to young people about to get married, and what they contribute to strengthening community cohesion and consolidating the values of partnership and cooperation between various supporting parties.
It is noteworthy that the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation organized three group weddings within the country, which included the first and second group wedding in the Al Bayt Mitwahid hall in Sharjah with the participation of 350 grooms and brides, and 1,110 grooms and brides respectively, in addition to the third group wedding in the Juffair Council in Al Ain with the participation of 750 brides and grooms, as part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support youth, enhance family stability and consolidate the values of social solidarity.
