Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality promotes family cohesion with various activities
Sharjah, 15 May / WAM / The Dibba Al Hisn Municipality organized a community event on the occasion of International Family Day under the slogan “Together we build an interconnected family” in line with the Year of the Family 2026 in the country and the interest of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in the family and society.
The event, which was held in the public park, included a group of cultural, recreational and awareness-raising activities, including group family competitions that included questions, educational challenges, and movement games, in addition to activities for children, a family photography corner, and an interactive mural titled “What Family Means to Me,” in addition to distributing gifts and cards bearing positive family values to the participants.
His Excellency Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said: “This event comes to celebrate the receipt by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, of renewing the recognition of Sharjah as a child-friendly city by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which reflects the great interest that the state and the emirate attaches to the family and children and building a supportive and sustainable community environment.”
