Al-Bataeh accompanies Dibba to the “amateur” league

Al-Bataeh bid farewell to the professional football league, after tying with Shabab Al-Ahly with a goal for each team, in the last round of the competition, to accompany Dibba to the first division league, after the latter lost to Al-Ain by a clean score.

Al-Bataeh wasted a valuable opportunity to survive, after winning a penalty kick in the 44th minute after Mohamed Jumaa Pele was pushed by Guilherme Bala, but Portuguese Antonio Neto failed to convert it into a goal after Rakan Walid blocked it and turned it into a corner kick.

The start of the match was balanced and cautious from both sides, before Al-Bataeh goalkeeper Ibrahim Issa excelled in stopping the first dangerous opportunity from Shabab Al-Ahly striker Matthews Lima in the 12th minute.

Al-Bataeh’s defense continued its steadfastness, after Rashid Meher saved his team from a certain goal by clearing the ball from the goal line, after Matheus Lima was alone, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and shot into the net in the 16th minute.

Al-Bataeh responded with several offensive attempts, during which Rakan Walid blocked a free kick carried out by Uzbek Aziz Ganiev in the 19th minute, before the same goalkeeper returned to block a powerful header from Noha Diko following a perfect cross from Mohammed Jumaa “Pele” in the 30th minute.

In the second half, Shabab Al-Ahly intensified its offensive pressure and succeeded in translating its advantage through Iranian Saeed Ezzat Allah, who scored the lead goal after following up on a cross from Renan Victor, which he shot into the goalkeeper’s empty net in the 72nd minute.

But Al-Bataeh quickly returned to the atmosphere of the match, after Denny Burgess equalized in the 76th minute, after a series of attempts that ended with a low shot that landed to the right of the goalkeeper.

Despite the attempts of both teams in the remaining minutes, the tie was maintained until the final whistle, officially relegating Al-Bataeh to the first division.
