ABU DHABI, 18TH MAY/WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department continued to establish its position as an exceptional model in the efficiency and speed of adjudicating restricted cases during the first quarter of 2026, as it was able to maintain qualitative completion rates of 99%, in confirmation of the sustainability of the efficiency of its system and its ability to keep pace with the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

The quarterly report on performance indicators showed a qualitative development in the speed of adjudicating cases, as the rate of adjudication of criminal cases that were referred and decided on the same day increased by 73% compared to the same period last year, which reflects the pioneering efforts made by the department to develop the judicial system, by accelerating litigation procedures, adopting digital solutions, and enhancing the emirate’s competitive position on the global level.

At the court level, the completion rate reached 99% in the Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Claims Court, 98% in the Abu Dhabi Commercial Court, and 96% in the Abu Dhabi Labor Court, which reflects the effectiveness of the claims management system and the integration of judicial procedures, and the ability of the justice system to keep pace with modern requirements and enhance customer confidence in the efficiency of judicial services.

With regard to penal indicators, the Public Prosecution in Abu Dhabi issued 1,721 penal orders, an increase of 35%, in an indicator that translates success in applying the best leading practices and developing work mechanisms to ensure speeding up procedures and achieving timely justice with high efficiency.

In terms of geographical distribution, Abu Dhabi courts recorded a completion rate of 98%, while the completion rate in Al Ain courts reached 98%, and in the Al Dhafra region, 99%, which confirms the consistency of judicial performance at the emirate level, consolidating the application of best operational practices and unifying procedures in various courts, which supports the competitiveness of the judicial system and enhances the sustainability of its operational efficiency.
