Abu Dhabi Marine Sports concludes"Sailing race"With the participation of people of determination
ABU DHABI, 18TH MAY/WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club Academy concluded the sailing race for the Optimist and Elka categories, yesterday evening, with the participation of 44 male and female sailors from its members in Abu Dhabi and the port, in addition to 9 people of determination.
The Optimist category for beginners resulted in Hazza Ibrahim winning first place, while Al-Muzoon Al Marzouqi topped the girls category.
Hamda Al Muhairi won the Optimist title for juniors, “10 years and under category”, and Abdullah Al Muhairi and Marwa Al Hammadi won the title of the Laser 4 category.
Sultan Ibrahim Al Marzouqi topped the laser competition for beginners, Abdullah Al Muhairi, Laser 4 for juniors, 14 years and under category, Toprak Caglion, Laser 6 category, and Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Optimist category.
The Academy explained in a statement that the participants demonstrated high competitive skills, at all stages, to reach the first positions, stressing that organizing such races raises the level of players, and gives them opportunities for interaction and competition, which contributes to preparing a new generation of marine sports champions, to represent the country in continental and international participations.
