Israeli raids and artillery shelling target a number of areas in southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids this Monday afternoon and this afternoon targeting a number of towns and regions in southern Lebanon.

This afternoon, Israeli artillery bombed the southern town of Arnoun with phosphorous shells, and this afternoon it bombed the outskirts of the towns of Zabdin and Kafr Rumman, and the town of Marjayoun in southern Lebanon, according to what the official Lebanese National News Agency announced.

The Israeli army issued an urgent warning this afternoon to the residents of three towns located in the Tire district in southern Lebanon, and they are planning to evacuate them.

US President Donald Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, starting at midnight on April 16, after intense Israeli raids targeting Lebanon since March 2.

It was also announced on the 23rd of last month that the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon would be extended for three weeks. Israel did not adhere to the ceasefire.
