المملكة: Ministry of Defense: Aeromedical evacuation transports 1,655 patients within 6 months
Announced Ministry of Defense that the fleet Aerial medical evacuation carried out transport operations for (1,655) patients during the first half of 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the speed of response to critical medical cases, and provide Specialized health care inside and outside the Kingdom.
The Ministry explained that the evacuation operations included the transfer of (1,579) patients inside the Kingdom, while the number of patients who were transferred internationally reached (76) patients, in addition to carrying out (13) organ transfer cases, which contributes to supporting organ transplantation programs and saving the lives of patients.
Operational readiness
The Ministry indicated that the medical evacuation fleet During the same period, the air force carried out (666) flights, which reflected the level of operational readiness and high efficiency of medical and aviation personnel, ensuring rapid access to cases and their transfer in accordance with the highest standards of safety and health care.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that air medical evacuation services represent one of the basic pillars of supporting the health system, by providing specialized medical transportation for critical cases, which enhances the quality of health services and raises the efficiency of responding to emergency cases in various regions of the Kingdom.
