المملكة: 65 thousand vehicles cross the roads leading to Mecca within a day


You registered General Authority for Roads More than 65 thousand vehicles crossed the roads leading to Mecca during the second day of Dhu al-Hijjah, as part of operational and organizational efforts aimed at facilitating the movement of the pilgrims during Hajj season 1447 AH, and raising the efficiency of movement on the road network in various directions leading to the Holy Capital.

The Authority explained that Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road topped the roads in terms of the number of passing vehicles with (16,087) vehicles, followed by Al-Layth Road with (13,174) vehicles, then the Taif-Mecca Road via Al-Sail Al-Kabir with (11,374) vehicles.

Field and operational readiness

It indicated that the Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Taif (Aqabat Al-Hada) road witnessed the crossing of (7,894) vehicles, while the number of vehicles crossing the Migration Road reached (7,663) vehicles, the Makkah Al-Mukarramah – Jeddah (Bahra) Road (6,591) vehicles, and the direct Makkah – Jeddah Road (2,643) vehicles.

The General Authority confirmed The roads continue their field and operational readiness on the roads leading to the Holy Sites, by monitoring traffic movement and raising the level of safety and services provided to the guests of God, in a way that contributes to the smooth flow of movement and comfort of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
