3,800 light objects decorate Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland to celebrate Eid Al Adha

ABU DHABI, 21st May / WAM / The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has completed the installation of 3,800 light models on Abu Dhabi Island and mainland cities, to enhance the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the city, and to keep pace with the festive atmosphere of Eid Al-Adha, in cooperation between the municipality and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

Khaled Allaq Al Hammadi, Director of Project Follow-up at the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, confirmed that the Eid Al Adha decoration works reflect the municipality’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life and consolidating the city’s cultural appearance, in line with Abu Dhabi’s status as a global destination that combines authenticity and modernity. He pointed out that these efforts come within the framework of keenness to create a vibrant urban environment that contributes to enhancing community happiness and highlighting the country’s cultural identity, by providing an integrated visual experience that reflects the spirit of the occasions and enriches them. The models and light formations used in the decorations included various designs of festive phrases that express the spirit of Eid, such as: “Eid Mubarak,” “Happy New Year,” “May you be blessed,” “From the Fayzin and the Ghanim,” and other expressions that enhance the atmosphere of joy and joy.

Ornamental designs are based on patterns inspired by Islamic and geometric motifs and various lines, with the use of stars and roses in most of the collections, which enhances cultural identity and adds a sophisticated artistic touch to the general scene.

The municipality was keen to ensure that the lighting installations and models that were installed were consistent and of appropriate sizes for the dimensions and spaces of the streets, to be safe for road users, including cars and pedestrians. In addition, they are energy-efficient, enhance sustainability standards, and are made of environmentally friendly materials that can be recycled. They are also of high quality in terms of insulation and resistance to weather factors and changes, and are subject to continuous follow-up by a specialized technical staff with extensive experience in this field.
